The engineering company that I work for is thinking about making some upgrades in the near future, as to how we do our job, and approach engineering design in general. The process that we do now is probably a bit outdated, and has probably been left unchanged for so long due to its familiarity with most of our employees. Things need to change though, and I am trying to find more info about Staad Pro v8i to learn more about what the program is capable of, and about all of its different capabilities, calculations, features, and that sort of thing.
We really need to update the software that we use to build models and designs of structures that are in planning. Although our engineers have a lot of experience with the current software, it is so old that it lacks a lot of features that would make our work more efficient and precise. Additionally, there are different engineering tolerances that we cannot assess with the current software due to its limitations and age. I really think that it should have been replaced years ago, but I have been in the minority on this matter until recently.
More recently, it has become apparent that our continued reliance on the old software was starting to put us at a competitive disadvantage with respect to some of the other engineering firms in the area. That can’t be allowed to be the status quo going forward, and we have to do everything in our power to update our processes, to make sure that they are more efficient and accurate, so that we are able to be more competitive, and in the end, to gain more clients. I think that we have started in the right direction, and now we just need to see this through.
